Catalio Capital Management is a New York City-based multi-strategy investment firm that invests in breakthrough biomedical technology companies through its private equity, private credit and public equities strategies, with a team of over 40 people between our NYC and London offices. The Associate, Business Operations will join Catalio to support the firm’s back-office business operations, including investor services, HR, IT, compliance, and office management. We are looking for a business generalist who is entrepreneurial, passionate about helping others, and motivated to build processes that improve our efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management to advance projects within the business operations functions of the firm, with a focus on developing, executing and optimizing operational processes and workflows
- Support the IS function by assisting with CRM updates, virtual data room management, webcast support, reporting, and document management
- Support the HR function through benefits enrollments, leave tracking, applicant tracking, onboarding and offboarding
- Liaise with the firm’s outsourced information technology vendor to provide on-site support for the IT function, including device onboarding and management, and basic support for office technology such as TVs, Wi-Fi access points, Zoom Rooms and printers
- Perform office management activities including liaising with building management, maintenance and troubleshooting appliances, supplies management, and office vendor management
- Support the firm’s compliance activities as needed, including event logging, testing, and reporting
- Organize and maintain accurate company records, including collection, storage, and dissemination of documents and files
- Develop and maintain regular reporting for the business operations function
- Assist with the development, maintenance and improvement of business operations policies and standard operating procedures
- Perform various ad-hoc tasks and projects to support the efforts of individual team members and the firm as a whole
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in an administrative or operations role
- Organized with impeccable attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to self-start, think independently and manage time effectively
- Experience with the firm’s technology stack
- Strong analytical skills with ability to collect and interpret data
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including clear communication in writing and verbally
- Commitment to working as needed in a high-performance environment
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years' work experience required
This position is full-time, in-person in New York City.
