Catalio Capital Management is a New York City-based multi-strategy investment firm that invests in breakthrough biomedical technology companies through its private equity, private credit and public equities strategies, with a team of over 40 people between our NYC and London offices. You’ll work side by side with professional investors, entrepreneurs, scientists and clinicians to help us support companies bringing leading innovations to market that will meaningfully improve the lives of patients around the globe.
The Senior Associate, Communications will join Catalio to build awareness of our work and the impact we hope to have in the world. We are looking for an entrepreneurial and engaging science communicator who is passionate about sharing cutting-edge developments in life sciences with the public, media, and all Catalio stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Write clear, accurate and accessible content that promotes awareness of Catalio, the life sciences companies we invest in, our Venture Partners, and our vision for the advancement of life sciences innovation
- Collaborate with scientists, clinicians, portfolio managers and firm leadership to understand, develop and use Catalio’s brand voice consistently across all written materials
- Identify, pitch and execute storytelling opportunities about Catalio and the companies in which Catalio invests
- Write and edit long-form articles on topics that publicize the impact of Catalio’s portfolio, such as blogs, reports, and white papers
- Contribute to the firm’s marketing efforts by writing and editing content for emails, marketing decks, call scripts, investor letters, and one-pagers.
- Produce, edit and promote creative written content for new media campaigns, such as social posts, digital graphics, and infographics, partnering with the internal design team
- Write and edit web copy for Catalio’s website, including landing pages, calls to action, product descriptions, and news updates
- Develop content ideas that are aligned with best SEO practices, such as keyword trends
- Collaborate with agency partners, such as public relations, by producing copy for PR projects that advance Catalio communications goals
- Own all daily middle office functions, including booking equity and FX trades, reconciling trading activity, resolving trade breaks, and internal reporting for multiple accounts
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience creating written and multimedia content on scientific topics
- Strong portfolio of work that demonstrates ability to transform highly technical concepts into engaging content for distribution to a general audience
- Demonstrated self-starting skills, such as prior start-up experience or other entrepreneurial activity
- Literacy in digital media tools, such as Adobe CS Suite, After Effects, Figma, or comparable
- Understanding of SEO principles and keywords as applied to content creation and digital design
- Personally dynamic with excellent detail orientation; excellent oral and written communication skills
- PhD or MS in a relevant scientific field, preferred
This position is full-time, in-person in New York City.
