Ajay Mantha is a Partner at Catalio Capital Management, LP. He is primarily responsible for identifying opportunities for the Catalio Public Equities portfolio, investing across innovative healthcare companies in pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, life science tools, diagnostics and data.
Prior to joining Catalio, Ajay was a Portfolio Manager at Zimmer Partners, where he was responsible for standing up & running their healthcare investment effort. Ajay spent almost a decade with Bain Capital's Public Equities division, where he was the Healthcare Sector Head. Prior to Bain, he was the biotech analyst at D.E. Shaw & Co., and before that he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company.
In 2021, Ajay also co-founded AI company Gordian Technologies, developing low-level platform software and ML models to address hardware-driven resource constraints that limit neural-networks – in hyper-scale as well as in edge AIoT settings.
Ajay earned his B.A. degree and Master of Science degree in Cellular & Molecular Neuroscience from the Johns Hopkins University.
