David Stonko is a Clinical Associate at Catalio Capital Management, LP.
David is also a vascular and endovascular surgery fellow at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he completed general surgery residency and served as chief resident, and he is board certified in general surgery. He is also a member of the Johns Hopkins Data Science and AI Institute. His clinical focus is complex aortic disease, oncovascular reconstruction, and carotid and lower extremity revascularization. During residency he completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship with the Shock Trauma Hemorrhage Control and Resuscitation Laboratory and the Mayo Clinic, studying hemorrhage control and endovascular devices in large animal models, including medical device design and validation. His clinical research applies machine learning, artificial intelligence and outcomes science to large clinical datasets to improve the care of surgical patients. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and presented at numerous national and international conferences.
David received his BS in Mathematics, BS in Biological Sciences and his MS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and his M.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
